So Tesla goes down 10% in two days and your telling me it cant even go up one percent 😂 your saying more people are selling then buying… pure scam market $tsla
Tesla China's weekly vehicle registrations came in at 12,500 which is a good number (period 26-3. Mar) implying quarter-to-date (QTD) +9% year-on-year growth vs QTD of 2023 or +6,200 vehicles.
Although this is a good number, this came in below my expectation. There are about 4K to 5K vehicles I can't reconcile based on the following:
1. February China retail is 36.6K
2. Feb Week 0 (stub): 29Jan-4Feb: 10.6K (o/w 6.0K in Feb)
3. Feb Week 1: 5.7K
4. Feb Week 2: 2.6K (Lunar New Year)
5. Feb Week3: 10.8K
6. Feb Week 4 (26Feb-3Mar): 12.5K (o/w 7.1K in Feb)
You add up everything and subtract the total February number: 6.0+5.7+2.6+10.8+7.1 = 32.3K, less 36.6K = 4.3K gap << where did those go ('Balance')?
The biggest uncertainty of above calculations lies in point 1 and point 6, which require assumptions to calculate the 'stub' period at the beginning and end of the months (since reported weeks don't line up with exact start/end of month). The problem is that I can reconcile the beginning of months stub period. For this reason, the Balance must sit at the end of month stub period but the 4K number appears too high a delta. Anyways, perhaps I am just to dumb to work out the driver.
