Serious problem in academia: if you have a million kids w/multiple tenure extensions, it doesn’t change your “year of PhD” for eligibility for other things.
Just rejected from yet another program b/c I am not “early career” by date of PhD (though w/the tenure extensions, I am).
*taps mic* Y’all still here? 🙃 Some of y’all ‘bout to receive a job offer soon so let’s disrupt our cultural unease about money with a 🧵 on negotiating academic job offers. 1/
The recent attack intended for Speaker Pelosi is a stark reminder that violence against ♀️ in politics is pervasive & a growing 🌎 trend. For context & insight on #VAWIP mechanisms check out @PoliticsandGenderJ 🧵👇 reviewing recent work published on the subject 1/10
https://t.co/KU7pVd1UyZ This is the perfect time to listen to this fascinating episode. Oh, and did you know that North Dakota saw the largest growth of the Latino population percentage-wise than in any other state in the country? Bravo @ReynaldoLeanos@mart3es
Community colleges play a critical role in workforce development. They have a broad mission to provide academic programming and skills training to prepare students for jobs or to transfer to a four-year college. Community College IS a smart choice! #ccsmart#communitycollege

Okay, I've been wanting to write this thread for a while and the final piece just came out so:
2020-2022 has been a banger time for new qualitative methods books. Here's a thread of some great new books!
As an elder millennial who came of age when Google became a verb, I had difficulty grasping that ~40% of Gen Zers use TikTok for search.
