Witnessed something special last weekend. We found a little auk flying over a grassland at #schiermonnikoog wich is already quite unusual. But before we could eveb take some first pictures it got caught by a peregine! #littleauk #pereginefalcon #birds

Little update of my life. Been in Mongolia for the past few weeks I did spend my time here at ugii wetlands centre a few houts west of UB. The main goal of this place is ringing waders. These pictures are just Some of the highlights.

Chaught 2 amazing Blyth's and a Barred warbler today in the standardized ringing program at @OttenbyBO. Also a Eurasian tree-creeper, a lot of marsh and reed warblers and a few Icterines. #struikrietzanger #blythesreedwarbler #sperwergrasmus #barredwarbler #ottenby #birdringing

Had a realy nice day sea watching last saturday at #maasvlakte. With around 8 leach's petrels, 2 manx shearwaters, 3 sabines gulls, 3 sooty shearwaters, and 2 long-tailed and 4 pomarine skua's. This leach was the highlight of the day when it flew realy close by. #leachspetrel

Unfortunately had to go on a family trip of 4 days during what was possibly the most exciting birding weekend of 2023. But while it was not possible for me to go birding i did got this realy nice and close view of a Short-eared owl during a boat trip!
