@ZealousSeraphim Fun fact - Tomino took a back seat to directing Double Zeta for the first half - he was working on Char's Counterattack.

He returns during the second half of the show - you can pretty much tell exactly when that is from how much more serious it gets.

There isn’t a single protagonist he’s written that doesn’t kill dozens if not hundreds of people in combat. And they are celebrated for this as doing the right thing.
