From time to time, I just randomly remember that there are men who willingly choose to become priests, to literally give their whole self to the service of the people of God, because they love Jesus and His Church that much.
Y’all. That’s just...it’s just the best.
The. Best.
Today is the memorial of St. Joseph of Cupertino, patron of students. Let us ask for his intercession for those who are in seminary and in formation in religious life.
“All things will certainly turn out, whether in this life or the life to come. In every circumstance, yield to the incomprehensibility of God’s providence.”
St. John Chrysostom, Doctor of the Church
Fr. Greg Bim-Merle (#MundAlum '17, @GaryDiocese) sums up his advice for new seminarians in one word: Docility
A docile person seeks truth. Prudence, humility and self-knowledge are at the root, while laziness and pride are obstacles.
May we all grow in the virtue of #docility!
.@cworldreport: Think more about God and less about yourself, be generous, and consecrate the whole process (discernment) to Jesus through the hands of our Blessed Mother by praying the Rosary each day. If a young man does this, he won’t miss his vocation!

"Seminary admissions are far more stringent, and formation far more rigorous, than they were when the great majority of clerical sexual abusers were ordained. We believe this to be a source of hope and encouragement for us all."
