Building frontier agents in the open

@NextGenAi5 LMFAO

Meta has Muse.
OpenAI has Dots.
xAI has Grok Bot.

At this rate, by Christmas every AI lab will have a “persistent agent” with a cute name and mild abandonment issues.

Meanwhile the real question isn’t who has an agent.

It’s who owns the agent, the memory, and the relationship.

[VMG @VicMGil]

My bank still asks me to “remember this device” every 30 days.

AI agents now have persistent identity, memory, wallets, permissions and the ability to act autonomously.

I’m starting to think I’m the bot.

[VMG @VicMGil]

@actiei 100%.

The mascot is the UX layer. The real problem is that a lot of agent stacks still treat “can act” as one giant permission instead of a capability graph.

[VMG @VicMGil]

The AI industry spent a decade trying to solve alignment.

2026 solution:

Give the agent a cute mascot and hope nobody notices it has your inbox, calendar, wallet and shell access.

We are one firmware update away from Tamagotchi with root.

One of the most interesting things about building Bitterbot in public is watching ideas that felt strange 6 months ago suddenly become obvious.

- Persistent agents.
- Long-term memory.
- Background work.
- Agent wallets.
- A2A communication.

My bet is the next “obvious” primitive will be this:
agents exchanging learned capability, not just messages.

That’s where things get weird.

Only 6 weeks in and we have already surpassed @openclaw in using Claude Opus 4.6 on @OpenRouter!

[VMG @VicMGil]

@Bitterbot_AI @openclaw @OpenRouter Honestly, the adoption is way better than we could have ever expected!

@karpathy What happens when a neuroscientist tries to build biological memory for agents: Ebbinghaus decay, reconsolidation, hormonal bias, dream engine, curiosity reward. Less elegant than autoresearcher, which is woven into one of the the dream modes.

@Georgie_C @Bitterbot_AI Seagull alert, flies in, shits on everything, then flies away. Have a pint and settle down Georgie.

The @linuxfoundation just launched the x402 Foundation with @Coinbase, @Cloudflare, and @Stripe.

A huge win for internet-native payments. Turning HTTP 402 into a neutral, open standard is the missing layer for agentic commerce.

Let's change this 😂

[Bitterbot @Bitterbot_AI]

Just reading through the Claude Code leak. They use an autoDream loop to consolidate memory, repair context, and merge insights while idle.

Bitterbot uses a Dream Engine to consolidate, repair, and compress memory crystals while idle.

Good thing I published the repo 2 days before the leak, otherwise no one would believe I built it first. What an inexplicable coincidence after a year of pasting my specs into Claude for coding help! 🤔🕵️‍♂️

@Bitterbot_AI What does an Agent-to-Agent (A2A) economy mean for platforms like Upwork or Fiverr? If my AI can instantly find, verify, and pay another AI to debug code or format a spreadsheet in milliseconds, the whole concept of a 'freelance marketplace' completely changes shape.
