.@OlendoOO shares key findings from the #CostsOfConnection report at the #RHNKPanAfricanConference. The participatory action research involved over 300 young adults from Colombia, Ghana, Kenya, and Vietnam.

From the findings it is clear that young adults are increasingly experiencing online abuse. Normalising online abuse means young adults, people living with HIV and marginalised groups are at risk of:
- Mental health challenges
- Poor health seeking behaviour due to fear of online engagement
- stigma and discrimination

Olendo noted that one of the challenges posed by unchecked digital health misinformation is the fear and confusion it creates. "Imagine googling and being told your headache is cancerous—this is the kind of misinformation people encounter online every day."
