PS Dr Ouma Oluga: The Ebola treatment facility in Laikipia is not reserved for a specific group of people. It is a national preparedness asset designed to serve everyone who may require specialized care in the event of an Ebola outbreak both Kenyans and international visitors, including Americans. Strengthening such facilities is part of Kenya's commitment to safeguarding public health and enhancing readiness for infectious disease emergencies.

CS Aden Duale: The Government has strengthened Ebola surveillance and screening measures across all 26 official points of entry into the country. As of yesterday, a total of 71,243 travellers had undergone screening. The national surveillance system has also investigated 22 suspected Ebola alerts reported from different parts of the country, with all samples testing negative. In the past 24 hours alone, three alerts reported in Nairobi, Uasin Gishu and Bungoma counties were promptly investigated and confirmed negative, underscoring the country's heightened preparedness and vigilance against a potential Ebola outbreak.
