To praise a mother's love is to praise the love that fosters life itself.
In 1971, Daisaku Ikeda wrote a poem honoring the mothers who dedicate their lives to the happiness and peace of those around them—a tribute born from his own deep gratitude for his mother. He later set it to music.
“There is no distinction between friend and foe in the heart of a compassionate mother. This is the starting point for the love of humanity and peace.”
