I’m really proud to officially announce Students for Abundance!
We’re bringing the movement to 12 campuses representing red and blue states, public and private schools, and institutions big and small.
It should be easier to build the things people need to thrive (1/8)
If you’re an undergrad or recent grad (or know one!), we invite you to Camp Abundance, a free conference in Washington D.C. from July 31-August 1, hosted by Students for Abundance. Join 100 young people from all across the country interested in making America work (1/4)
At SFA, we value openness, grit, warmth and a willingness to experiment and contribute. You don’t need a particular background, major, or career path to attend. If you're on the fence, we especially want you to apply. We will pay for food, travel, and room. (3/4)
In January, I spoke at the Progressive Abundance conference and met these passionate Stanford students. It was great to meet with them in DC to continue our conversation about my work to build housing, clean energy, transportation, and more much faster. Their generation needs Congress to act with urgency to address the cost-of-living crisis and I’m committed to doing just that.
It’s really disheartening to see Abundance-populist factionalism. There are many places to join forces and change systems that don't help most people.
On campus, we are working to do this. See how event organizing reform helps with free speech and underfunded groups:
I’m really grateful to have played a small part in this work with some incredible teammates.
Huge thank you to my coauthors @nabla_theta, @AchyutaBot, and everyone on the team who made this possible!
What is abundance, and why do we need the next generation of civic leaders to help build it?
@Victoriazren, Maxwell Stern, and I tried to answer these two questions with the mission statement for Students for Abundance 🧵
We are just beginning, and there is much to do! For different ways of supporting and engaging, PM or reach out to [email protected]!
We hope you join us (8/8)

Thank you to @conliuart for giving these ideas a visual life, and to @SohamGovande for helping implement.
And to my counterparts, @Matthew_Meyers5 and Maxwell Stern — working with you has been the best part of this. Students for Abundance simply wouldn’t exist without you (7/8)
