[ 💤 I’ll make a pinned tweet later. This account was recently reactivated after years, and I want to avoid getting jailed for using fancy fonts. 😮💨
Btw, feel free to interact with Jing Yuan. I won't bite. 😉]
@aeternabloom —"Alright. See you later, Luocha." A faint smile tugged at his lips. "Thank you for the tea. I'll be sure to return the favor next time."
@aeternabloom Cute.
He had only meant it as a joke. It was rather adorable to see you take his words so seriously. And when you tried to make your escape, he had no intention of stopping you or holding you back. Instead, he simply remained seated, relaxed in his chair. —
@aeternabloom "I'm not nearly as busy as people make me out to be, you know." Surely you've heard the rumors about how often he slips away from work.
His amber eyes curved with quiet amusement.
"And, to satisfy your curiosity, today's agenda is an afternoon nap." His smile deepened—
@aeternabloom A faint smile tugged at the corner of Jing Yuan's lips, he shook his head ever so slightly.
"It's not necessary. Though if you wish to talk about it, I'd be glad to listen."
@aeternabloom Jing Yuan chose to answer with a leisurely sip of tea rather than words. Only afterward did the familiar smile return to his lips.
"I'm afraid that's for you to discover on your own."
@aeternabloom Such confidence.
"Very well."
Jing Yuan hadn't expected the merchant to humor him. The fact that Luocha did came as a pleasant surprise.
"It's actually quite simple. It's the idea that people are naturally drawn to others who are similar to themselves."
@aeternabloom "And what do I get in return?" he asked, a teasing note creeping into his voice.
It was, admittedly, a rather juvenile remark for someone who so often referred to himself as an old man. Still, he found it difficult to resist whenever the opportunity arose to tease the blond man.
@aeternabloom Mhm. I'll take that as a compliment.
"Have you ever heard of the similarity-attraction effect?"
Jing Yuan's lips curved into a faint smile as he regarded the other with quiet amusement.
"I believe it best explains your question."
@aeternabloom No chance of forming an emotional connection instead?
"I have a feeling Boss Du would be overjoyed to have a customer as loyal as you." After all, the teas served at his shop were certainly... unique.
"Am I not even allowed to simply watch you?" Nevertheless, he waved—
@aeternabloom A soft chuckle, "I imagine we'd find more common ground if we took the time to understand one another a little better."
A flicker of recognition crossed his features
"The last new variant I remember was the flaming potent tea. If that's the one you mean, I've already tried it."
@aeternabloom Now, now. There's nothing wrong with exchanging a few pleasantries, yes?
"Mm. You have good taste. I happen to be rather fond of songlotus cake myself."
His brows lifted ever so slightly, as though something had just occurred to him.
"Are you referring to Boss Du's tea?"
@aeternabloom Accepting the offer, Jing Yuan took a seat. He rested both hands on the table, using one to prop up his head with a slight tilt. His amber eyes remained fixed on the merchant before him.
"Oh?" A faint smile tugged at the corners of his lips. "Do you have any recommendations?"
