I'm confused. The Indian government suddenly cares about their people dying from #COVID19 but won't lift a vape ban that could save the roughly 1 million that die there each year from smoking. I guess covid is costing them money and cigarettes make them money?
Banning E-Cigarettes which are used by less than .01% smokers & which do much less harm than cigarettes is tokenism befitting a Feku, while it benefits Cigarette manufacturers. We need either a ban or much tighter regulation of cigarettes https://t.co/XQLBKqBWcI
Fine under COTPA for selling cigarettes to minors: Rs 200. Fine under ordinance for selling vape to ANYONE: Rs 1 lakh +1 year jail. Why is government incentivising smoking which kills 1mn Indians/yr against a much safer alternative? @narendramodi@nsitharaman@drharshvardhan
@akshaykumar sir any comments on #ecigarettes ??? Do u think its the right decision by govt to #ecigaretteban ?? When they own 28% of ITC !!! should govt ban TOBACCO cigarettes too ?
Ban on Vapes or E-Cigarettes, India Takes a Leaf out of USA book but does it make sense? Or does Big Tobacco win? I am #KeepingItSimple here https://t.co/X5pAqjHRsC
E-cigarettes banned, says Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman - Shd this not come from Min of Health? How about banning gutka too? How about MoF announcing some fiscal measures to revive economy? https://t.co/9c4hpRlUUD
@kiranshaw#NirmalaTai is the right person to ban e-cigs because it is related to finance and about revenue our govt earns from ITC Cigarette sales, our govt is least bothered about the health of people who smoke.
Makes you wonder if the dividends of 28+% stake of the Govt. in ITC outweighs public health which vapers on their own initiative got themselves off smoking. #vapingsaveslives#indiaalsovapes#RegulateDontBan No wonder a finance minister lead the charge!
#NirmalaTai#NirmalaSitharaman Congratulations to all the cigarette manufacturers as now e cigererettes are banned and your sales will increase as most millinials were switching to e cigarettes #shame#bloodmoney
The TN govt order that makes unscientific and debunked claims to ban use and sale of ENDS. No consideration for 80 lakh smokers in the state who are being criminalised if they try to reduce harm to themselves. #RegulateDontBan
@Krithiga_Sam @Actor_Siddharth availability of cigarettes , alcohol, porn to teens is a bigger problem than vapes . If govt. regulate and tax vape, strict laws can be made for sale of the same. Which will help both govt and the consumers.
Ban is not a solution
Banning vapes is forcing a smoker to die of tar
Great tweet @thearvindswami sir.
INDIA needs more people like you with real courage.
I hope other celebs also raise their voice against banning e-cigs.

Regulation of vaping can help many smokers. Help them live a better life https://t.co/of5yjHiPmm
The claim is that the concept of e cigarettes are less harmful than cigarettes as there is no burning , hence no tar etc. A ban is now being contemplated on e cigs as these claims are not proven.
There is proof that cigarettes are harmful, so why not start the ban with them?
