I have seen persuasive arguments for and against this, I do not have the expertise to say if it's the call or not. What I do see is a disjointed industry. What is ur response? Deepmind? Open ai? E? Anthropic? As a civilian, I would be reassured if I knew there was an industry-wide discourse, for the sake of the people. Please act as leaders by reassuring us that we are not blindly falling into an arms race. I am not seeing the leadership I would like to see, considering the powers that are manifesting. Regardless of agi or not, a very powerful mindless thing can wreak all sorts of havoc, spiritually, politically, emotionally. I am not an expert, I do not know what to do. The fact that none of the smartest ppl on earth have anything resembling a consensus distresses me. As a human I am asking for this 🙏🏻
