Excited to be part of Infect-Net! If you want to know more about my story, read here 👇 https://t.co/3BhApsIXye. Can't wait to network with fabulous Infection Researchers in Germany!#malaria#MPZPM#PhysicsMedicine
This study highlights the importance of aggressive antipyretic treatments during malaria infection and has the potential to be extended to other infections. Thrilled to share this work with collaborators from the field and Maria Bernabeu's lab! Huge thanks to the whole team! 🙌
🚨 New preprint out! 🚨 Have you ever wondered of what happens to the vasculature exposed to febrile temperatures? In Maria Bernabeu's Lab @EMBLBarcelona we found that high temperatures cleaves endothelial glycocalyx, triggering malaria severity 👉 https://t.co/LiLWMyMc7O
This is conserved in lung 3D microvessels and induces neutrophil binding. We could reverse the temperature effect by protecting the endothelial glycocalyx with a broad MMP inhibitor.
Starting my own Lab at #MPZPM@MPZ_PhysMed, Erlangen!!🥳🔬🥳 I am recruiting Lab Manager/Technician to work on organ-on-chip, malaria, biophysics. Apply here: https://t.co/1xUHHjqVHW
Last day to register for Malaria GRC and GRS - Shifting Landscapes in Malaria Research https://t.co/AEYMqyhDkI
It's going to be exciting! See you all in 3 weeks!
2/ Annually, the EMBL BioMalPar XXI conference brings together scientists worldwide to convene, share critical insights, and explore cutting-edge technologies.
🙌 Virtual registration is still open!
