40 years ago today, April 29, 1986, Roger Clemens struck out 20 Mariners in a 3–1 win at Fenway, becoming the first pitcher in MLB history to hit the 20‑K mark. Only about 13,000 showed up, because Boston was glued to Celtics–Hawks at the Garden. A historic night that half the city barely noticed.
In this photo, Sir Paul McCartney surprised my friend, John Ferriter, playing guitar together for Ferriter's birthday.
We lost John on July 25, 2019, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles due to complications from pancreatitis, at the age of 59. 😢
In a town of vipers and demons, John was remembered for his kindness, intelligence, and fierce loyalty to clients and friends. He certainly changed TV forever.
Tre Ford gets the start, Fajardo will most likely play the second quarter, and Cole Snyder appears to have passed McElvain on the depth chart. We'll also have 3 Fords playing in tomorrow's Preseason game. Exciting times!

St. Bonaventure’s football program has been extinct since 1951.
I sat down with Bonnie’s Athletic Director @bobberetta to discuss the history of the program and if fans should expect to see the team return.

This month marks the 45th anniversary of the release of "The Wanderers". The picture of all the guys on the right is from a preview screening that took place in May of 1979 in New York, which was an absolute blast. The Lobby Card is on the left.
