Eye temp now ~14C which is warmer than I recall seeing at peak intensity yesterday. This does not mean winds are stronger but there's no doubt that Milton is continuing to strengthen.

From this point forward, it does not matter if it "weakens". The storm surge is already baked into the cake and this will be a historic and catastrophic storm surge event for portions of the west-central FL coast.
