Something wonderful happened today: I met @saulfp the inventor of @VisiData, I met Anja Kefala, who takes care of VisiData, and I met @jmreagle a member of the beautiful community of visidata.
Thank you, you are beautiful people

visidata can save views (e.g. filters, sorts, freq. tables) with the typical `Ctrl+S`, or yank to the system clipboard with `gY`
It can do this export in various formats (tho GitHub markdown table format didn't work for me https://t.co/VDLaIzluyw) using `python-tabulate` package
Starting to get the hang of visidata:
`#` / `%` sets col. as int/float
`[` / `]` sort ⇡/⇣
`=` creates a new col. via Python expr (col. names are variables & tab complete), `g=`/`z=` overwrites col/row
Lovely stuff

Che meraviglia: con @frictionlessd8a 5.10, @VisiData è integrato nativamente. Tutto a partire dal nuovo comando "explore"

Cose che @pcmasuzzo e @DennisAngemi devono sapere
Today i found awesome and really fast cli tool to view csv files. It looks way better than csvlook | less.
it also shows headers on top when you scroll
sudo apt install visidata;
vd file.csv
@jsvine 's @VisiData tutorial at #NICAR23 wound up being immediately useful for poking around in Cal eProcure. Allow me to present some of California's weirder Walgreens purchaces: https://t.co/BeY38bXmnU

1/ Me in 2012:
1. could not open a 2GB file with excel
2. frustrated that people are too busy to help me
3. wrote my first "hello world"
-------
Me in 2023:
1. happily play with visidata https://t.co/0SQGqQ8YJ9
2. share and teach others computation
3. share unix and R tricks
I'm enjoying building small quick command line tools around visidata. Particularly nice for spot-checking parquet which I've usually had to use a custom python or R script in the past.
