Many Ottawa residents cycle as their preferred mode of transportation. These events help to raise awareness to that fact. A balanced approach to transportation provides adequate designated space for all modes.
Getting around safely and effectively in Ottawa requires a balance of transportation. Thank you for your common sense @_MarkSutcliffe as suburban residents just want to be able to get to and from work on time. Open the qed for cars and let’s continue improving cycling elsewhere
@jordobicycles There’s more than one way to defeat a motion at council. Declaring the motion out of order was a political decision. It was challenged, there is a recorded vote and Gower voted to declare the motion out of order. Stating you support something is not the same as supporting it.
#ottbike Andrew's comment to @cbcotttraffic is spot on. Not only QED MUP, but even more Colonel By MUP suffers from car headlights in adjacent roadway blinding a cyclist, all the way from Corkstown Bridge to Bronson. A hedge/barriers would be perfect. https://t.co/HK1FGYrePI
