For anyone wondering what #NHS1000miles is all about,
here’s a summary 😉👇🏼
Why not join in & get more active in 2026?
Everyone is welcome & all activities count - we post updates on weekly/year to date mileage at 7.30pm each Sunday evening with an inspiring active pic 💫
I’ve joined the #NHS1000miles challenge for 5 years (I think - has it been that long @KathEvans2 ). And i intend to do it again in 2026.
To achieve 1000 miles in a year you need to, on average walk (or run) 3 miles a day or 21 miles per week. 1/2
Closing 2025 with full gratitude ✨
Running has been my constant 🏃🏻♀️
from 💯 miles in one go thx @LDWA1 💫
To weekly @parkrunUK joy
& raising funds for @RoaldDahlFund & @Barts_Charity#NHS1000miles small steps add up to big changes 💫🏃🏻♀️
See you on the start line in 2026 👟
2025 Year end total for #NHS1000miles is 1700 miles. Lovely walks in Fuerteventura this month. Aiming to be nearer 2000 next year! Wishing all a happy healthy 2026
It was an honour to present Sallyann Sutton with the Chief Nursing Officer Gold Award today at the Annual @SAPHNAteam Conference.
Sallyann's leadership & commitment to #SchoolNursing is truly inspiring, so congratulations from @teamCNO_ & all your colleagues 👏👏👏 #teamCNO
Thank you I am thrilled! I’ve loved the challenges. Some of you know that I had a brain tumour removed 6 years ago so it feels fitting to learn more about eating for brain health. Thank you so much @4AdsthePoet and all participants. Wishing you all a lovely Christmas x

As #LungCancerAwarenessMonth draws to a close, I’ve had a strong 44 miles #NHS1000MILES with 1954 YTD. Feeling the benefit in every step taken. My biggest message is that all you need is lungs to get lung cancer @EgfrUk Be vigilant and let’s keep crunching these miles together ❤️
Gradually built up walking again for #NHS1000miles but foot still not up to (even my slow!) running. Lots of strength workouts … red marks the sessions 😂 . 130 miles since post Oct 24th. YTD 1589. And a picture of a lovely IOW morning!
Last day 😢 #WeEatWell25. Veggie in slow cooker for soup to keep me on straight & narrow next week 😂 Most excitingly dark chocolate (1st time this challenge) to enjoy with coffee! Thank you again @4AdsthePoet & all friends participating
