@KirstieMAllsopp Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital allow one named visitor only & must book. My elderly friend spent 8 weeks there & only her husband could visit. He’s not in good health so only went twice a week. No one else allowed to visit to lift her spirits & take the pressure off her husband.
@FitbitSupport my new Fitbit versa 3 deleted walk info from sat/sun and stopped logging exercise on Monday and last night stopped counting my steps although buzzed to say I had done 10,000 but logged less than 5,500. Have switched off & back on several times…HELP!!!
We have just received this message from one of our members. This @GillianKeegan is the reality of the guidance - time to change it, time to bring it in line with everyone else - or do you think this is ok? @sajidjavid@DHSCgovuk makes no sense!? #rightsforresidents
Is this really acceptable - are you restricted from seeing your family like this @sajidjavid@GillianKeegan - time to do some #LevellingUp of care home guidance and give our loved ones their rights back isn’t it #rightsforresidents
With community cases rising it’s inevitable care homes will close for outbreaks. PLEASE if you haven’t, make sure your loved one in care has an #essentialcaregiver, they can still visit during outbreaks. There is NO reason to be refused #rightsforresidents https://t.co/2Rk7TosymN
@relresuk So true! Deciding to put someone into care is such a difficult decision for us to take, & I know the pandemic has put us in a unique situation, but locking our loved ones away from us & not being able to spend time with my father for so long is something that haunts me.
@CareQualityComm@rightsforresid2@Barchester_care@KateTerroni The government guidelines clearly aren’t being followed by Barchester and it is absolutely necessary for you to follow this up and take action against them! These restrictions are not OK and Barchester are not following the guidance!
How would you feel if you had to isolate for 14 days after going out for Coffee or Xmas dinner (just because you aren’t fully vaccinated).Apparently this is the latest guidance for Care Home Residents💔. I don’t think this is proportionate/fair @RobinSwannMoH?#MentalHealthMatters
Sad to see the guidance limiting numbers of visitors to residents in care homes -and that more guidance is issued about such critical issues without consultation with people drawing on or working in care. Places more stress on our teams and families #carehomes@JohnCampaign
@_mark_topps It certainly has sparked a lively debate! We have made some very positive moves forward in recent months but there’s still some way to go and the pain for people who have lost loved ones in care over the last 20 months hasn’t diminished.
@GillianLatham8 This is heartbreaking Gillian. I only ever had garden visits until I was given ECG as dad wouldn’t have understood being kept behind a screen. I understand the need to keep residents safe but this is cruel and barbaric 💔😢
