@JOSourcing@fiverr Conversely, clients regularly accuse freelancers of using AI, even when it's untrue.
Please do your due diligence before reporting work as AI-created.
@fiverr I started out by reading stories to friends on Discord, until one of them said "YOU SHOULD DO AUDIO BOOKS!"
Five years later, here we are. Cheers, Fiverr!
@BenKearns6 It says a lot when generative AI feels 'more real' than actual, human dialogue written by their terrible writing team.
But seriously, this is the worst.
@fiverr I'd work with Disney, voicing all the characters Alan Tudyk gets to do!
Confused chicken? Check. Sarcastic robot? You bet! Moustachioed villain? Let me at it!
@DTongSports@fiverr I hear you! As a fellow voiceover artist, have you noticed a loss in earnings since the rise of AI, too? I went from $5k months to $2-3k months almost overnight.
@mehranmanni@TabraizRai@fiverr You're in a very competitive niche there, and entry-level prices are very low. If you want to stand out, you're going to need a very slick gig!
I recommend researching some less competitive niches that utilise your skills. Amazon listing copywriting, perhaps?
Good luck!
@LeeBergantino I was thinking about this recently, while watching Paw Patrol with my daughter.
I'm British, but the British dub feels unnatural to me, whereas the US original doesn't. The acting is of a similar quality. It's almost as if my brain can't reconcile the cultural mismatch!
@BenKearns6 I say this with all seriousness: set up a Fiverr gig and publicise it here.
Contrary to popular belief, you can charge more than $5 (I reckon $10 per 50 words to start with). Market the page a little, and you'll do well out of it.
@Aiannucci "And we're just being told that another one of the survivors has succumbed to the cold and slipped beneath the water - but everything is fine now."
