This morning, our Ebola response team in Mubende and Kasanda have joined the district(s) to recieve the Hon Minister of Health Dr. @JaneRuth_Aceng who is leading other guests including the Africa UNICEF Regional Director and USAID Assistant Administrator Bureau of Global Health.
Impressed by the commitment & compassion of the health care workers & VHTs met in #Mubende & #Kassanda. Their hard work means there are survivors of this deadly disease! An effective #Ebola response requires πͺ partnerships among govβt, CSOs, & partners. Thatβs what I saw today!
We greatly appreciate the Health Care Workers at the πΊπΈ-supported facility in #FortPortal whose expertise, dedication, & professionalism helped to stabilize #Ebola patients so they could be moved for follow-up care. HCWs are critical to the #Ebola response & we applaud you!

Visited Okado Farmers Shop in Gulu this afternoon to learn how agribusinesses use digital technology & other methods to improve their operations to reach more farmers & β¬οΈ increase agriculture production & incomes. @USAID
This morning, we received 5 portable digital mobile X-ray machines from @USAID. This will greatly improve access to radiography services. We also received 50 motorcycles and 2 mobile TB clinic machines procured with support from @GlobalFund.
What fantastic work! @USAID Ugandaβs Meals for Nutrition Activity helped 550,000 farmers grow vitamin fortified sweet potatoes and iron-rich beans! One farmer from Gulu is now growing on 180 acres! @HarvestPlus did the work!
