Last chance: Support walking and cycling improvements between #Wembley and #Harlesden on a road which has seen over 90 collisions since 2018.
This consultation closes on Thursday 21 December, so tell TfL you support the scheme today! https://t.co/zt5rhPtCpc
@Spoquey @willnorman@thamesclippers The reason a bridge isn't possible is because of the weird power held by the port of London authority, which requires access to the Pool of London by high ships – even though that access contributes nothing detetectable to Londoners.
Whereas all the Brent and Harrow LTNs were removed. Such a strong inner/outer London discontinuity of policy – and it doesn't correspond to political parties.
New East London cross-river walking & cycling ferry planned for Rotherhithe to Canary Wharf with @thamesclippers.
💚New RORO electric boat - with capacity for 100🚲/♿️& 150🚶♀️
💚New accessible pier - that will sit alongside the hotel.

@Only9built I knew an elderly cyclist who refused to wear high-vis because he said it 'made him a target'. I think many of us will relate to this. The main danger to cyclists is not from people who can see them perfectly well in black and moan about it on social media, it's from psychopaths.
Who should we prioritise on our streets?
The school run before the Streatham Wells LTN // The school run after the Streatham Wells LTN.
We know which we prefer ❤️
It's still very early days, but already children are able to travel through our neighbourhood more safely
Here is a new recording of some of my Preludes for piano by virtuoso pianist Neil Crossland. (If you like classical music, especially piano, feel free to subscribe to my YouTube.) https://t.co/D7tO7WCZjp
London's network of Cycleways continues to grow.
Great seeing construction progressing on York Way between Kings Cross & Camden Rd.
This introduces new raised stepped cycle tracks in both directions as well as other improvements.

I’m spending very little time on X now. I wonder where other people who followed my tweets have gone primarily – is it to Dorsey’s new one, or the one named after an extinct mammal, or the Zuckerberg one?
Ever wonder how so many people can afford so many big expensive cars?
Personal Contract Purchases - 90% of all new car purchases in UK now use PCPs
Smells like a potential financial crisis in the making.

@CHAIRRDRF@hugorifkind@NickCohen4 Maybe, but I don't express a view over whether calling for a ceasefire in this case is sensible or not. I'm worried that the right to protest is getting eroded by finding lots of odd days/occasions/circumstances when protest is unacceptable.
@CHAIRRDRF@baoigheallain@London_Cycling Yes, in Brent, though it is good the Wrottesley Rd/Harrow Rd junction is highlighted again, as @BrentCyclists have campaigned on it without success, without obviously dangerous spots like Staples Corner & Northwick Park, the map just seems peculiar and I think will lose cred.
@CHAIRRDRF@hugorifkind@NickCohen4 Isn't there a confusion here between Armistice Day (11/11) and Remembrance Sunday? I agree R. Sunday should be a solemn day undisturbed by protests. A. Day is the anniversary of an armitice (i.e ceasefire). I don't see why folks shouldn't be calling for another one on that day.
I see that Tweetdeck has been replaced. Now called XPro, costs £100/year. No thanks Elon. I used this a lot to keep up with various society accounts I run. I am now essentially leaving Twitter/X. I have accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Threads and YouTube; see some of you there.
So - what are Westminster Council's plans for #OxfordStreet? 👀
Will they transform walking, wheeling & cycling on the 'nation's high street'?
You've got until 31 August to have your say. Here are our thoughts... 🧵& blog

@BicycleDutch I tried cycling in Berlin before the pandemic. It was certainly better overall than London, due to the larger number of bike paths and lanes, but, as you say, they are narrow (despite v. wide roads) and poorly-maintained. Also designs have a lot of conflict with other road users.
This is a studio recording of my Romance for Violin and Cello (Op. 15) – an old work (1997) that I revised for a concert in last year's year's Harrow Summer Music Festival. I've made it into a video using still photos taken at the recording studio. https://t.co/vTTst2ZNLP
