‼️ BREAKING: Hackers tore down a Flock license plate camera, copied its storage and found an encryption key on the device that unlocked footage of thousands of passing vehicles.
The recovered data covered about 21 days of activity. In that time, the camera photographed roughly 50,000 vehicles and took about 1.6 million images.
Flock had previously told a security researcher that even someone who got into one of its cameras couldn't reach footage, because images stayed on the device only briefly.
Flock calls the removal illegal and said it didn't have enough detail to assess the claims.
Its software also detects people. When researchers ran the camera's own models over 27,321 clips stored on it, they flagged people in 11.
We have a positive update today on LPCAMM2 pricing! We were able to source a limited quantity at lower cost, and are retroactively reducing prices for orders that shipped at higher price, as well as offering the lower price to orders through Batch 10.
‼️ BREAKING: Nightmare-Eclipse just released another zeroday, this time a proof-of-concept called FalconFlank, which claims a local privilege-escalation flaw in CrowdStrike Falcon — abusing the sensor's own malicious-Office-macro remediation to reach SYSTEM on fully updated Windows 11 25H2 and Server 2025.

@n3onr1ft@Itsfoss I will say, it is good at being a fast install for a decent, stable tiling window manager type setup, with tons pre-configured to work. If you like ricing and tinkering, maybe not for you. But if you like the outcome of those riced builds and you game/develop, @dhh did well.
@ultiandcider@amoryxblaine@FrameworkPuter Unfortunately, it's not up to them. The Mainboard production is done by the manufacturer of the CPUs, i.e. Intel and AMD. This is unfortunately a given in the industry right now, partners do not keep production running when their new stuff comes out. FW doesn't have control sadly
CachyOS decided to resolve the problem with Discord RPC in games on Linux.
Their latest custom version of Proton (Valve's tool for running Windows games on Linux) includes an automated solution to this problem through a bridge in the compatibility layer. While until recently you were forced to manually add the game process as a status in Discord, browsing through 30 other running background processes and then optionally fixing capitalization so the status would be assigned to the game, now you have it fully automated. These statuses should include custom data, e.g., about the lobby, just like Fortnite does on Windows.
Currently, to use this solution, you need to install the latest release of Proton-CachyOS and add the optional environment variable "PROTON_DISCORD_BRIDGE=1" to the game's launch options.
Another month, another ~1 percentage point of growth! 🚀
CachyOS is now used by 14.31% of Linux users.
Thank you all so much for your continued support! ❤️
@HighTideZS@xdadevelopers Yeah, VR seems to be the last final thing to go. Hopefully standalone devices like the Frame are the future solution, where they can update themselves without needing a host.
Could have been a bit better, since we are enabling Intel-LPMD as default on Panther Lake and other supported CPUs, but power savings are there more important then benchmarks on this CPU.
Thanks for the benchmark!
This is why we made a fully new custom display for Framework Laptop 13 Pro. We're able to get extremely high brightness when needed (the matte anti-glare helps for use outdoors too) while still getting great power efficiency during normal use.
@bunchou_it Honestly these kinds of fixes are great. You'd love a @FrameworkPuter 13 or 13 Pro, they make it easy to open, upgrade, and repair (unironically four minutes) for the entire operation. And that includes spending 3 minutes finding your screwdriver.
Great job on the fix!
