@enginoid excellent article! Can you expand on the part about giving agents their own identity? Do you have agents responding to being tagged in Linear? I'm looking for an elegant way to do this
@83beals@C_Sommerfeldt FY26 was a magical combination of epic underbudgeting and windfall tax revenues. FY27 much more realistic about costs, and probably a little dreamy about revenue. A $6B gap has been manageable in the past when billions in "unanticipated" revenue could be relied on to save the day
DEVELOPING: NYC cash crunch worsens with risk of hitting negative balance in November: sources. @NYCMayor and @NYCComptroller teams work thru weekend to blunt pushback from nonprofits after @NBCNewYork reported possible delays in billions they’re owed 7/1

First look at how NYC's $5.4B budget crisis has been whooshed away: 74% closed by Albany, mostly in the form of permission to do a pension deferral. The remaining 26% is probably just the city stopping its habit of sandbagging revenue estimates. Future-NYC is going to feel it
@floor_per_area that this kind of "science" has been so frequently cited by other researchers. shocking when you think about how citation count is treated as a metric of research quality
Bottom line: Council appears to now give up a chunk of their savings plan - and agreeing with mayor that the best way to close their multi billion budget is to ask the state for more money
@supaculia@katie_honan Note Mamdani's proposal estimates $700M, and the same policy in the City Council Preliminary Response estimates $1.02B in revenue.
