As per media reports, Karnataka govt is planning a congestion tax on single-occupancy cars in high-density corridors.

If true, this is outrageous. You collect huge taxes from people to provide facilities, and when you can’t, you impose more taxes on the same people to mask your failure. How is that logical?

Ironically, the ones affected by this will be techies only, already among the highest taxpaying group, receiving barely any facilities in return, enduring hours of traffic just to get home, and now will be forced to pay extra tax on that ordeal as well.
