Will be a while before I’m back on HF, or VHF/UHF for that matter. Got a new roof in December. Had to move my 2m/440 antenna and then the roofers just snipped the ladder line on my HF antenna. Time for a re-do in the Spring.

Whoops - power was out yesterday, was scanning around for utility truck chatter on my TH-D74 and curiously looked up my license, which expired in December! Wasn’t on 2m at all but renewed immediate from my phone, was a piece of cake. Here’s to 10 more years licensed!

Fired up the HF rig this morning for the first time I think in 2019. Might give ECARS or 7272 rag chew net a check in.

Good news though, my solar install doesn’t impact my RX as all, dead quiet (Sunpower panels with micro inverters on each panel (78 panels) 400’ from the house.

Alright, what’s the DMR HT to buy these days that’s field programmable and has or can be modded with promiscuous mode? HD1 looks good, but too much for how little I’ll be toying with it. Recommendations?
