Great to see so many people at @UKParliament last night to hear about ways clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene can stop the spread of drug-resistant infections 🦠
Thank you for supporting #PreventionFirst - and to @ThatMould for the performance 🎵
Clean water, sanitation and hygiene can:

Last week @BritainLeads showed the brilliant work of UK Aid in supporting @WaterAidWAfrica and @LivelyMinds to British MPs in Ghana 🇬🇭- we also met with local leaders and @UKinGhana 🇬🇧
Thank you to our partners, brilliant MP delegation, and the wonderful people we met 🌎 🤝
Water and sanitation are a major global crisis. I asked the Prime Minister whether he would reverse the Government’s 80% cuts to water and sanitation projects.
He didn’t answer so I’ll keep asking….

CALL FOR EVIDENCE
We've opened joint inquiry with WASH APPG & @WaterAidUK, looking at links between antibiotic resistance & lack of access to clean water, hygiene & sanitation facilities in healthcare centres across least developed countries. Respond here https://t.co/CHhL9NiRKy
The UK should make Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) an essential component of its development aid. Glad to get the opportunity to give evidence to this important inquiry today, you can find
@katklemperer and my written submission here.https://t.co/kAjSihM6PQ
Great to speak to @UKAMREnvoy about links between WASH in healthcare settings globally & antibiotic resistance for @APPGantibiotics & @WASH_APPG inquiry
It's cheaper to prevent infection than to treat infection and WASH in healthcare facilities is central to this.
