Re - The Home Office's surprise plan to start rounding up people for #Rwanda deportation from Monday.
The powerful throw a crisis in our path to destablise us - to weaken us.
Though it's really hard, we need to be grounded in our approach
Three things we can do.
🚨NEW blog on IMMIGRATION RAIDS🚨 as we navigate Rwanda confusion:
⚡️What's a raid?
⚡️What're your RIGHTS in a raid
⚡️What to do if you SEE a raid
⚡️Key groups
Stay informed, stay vigilant, stand together.
Thank you @AntiRaids @migrants_rights ✊

Today has been a sad and dark day. The women in our network are worried about what the Rwanda Bill means for them:

I want to thank everyone who helped me making this speech, @BrumLeader and my @BrumLabour colleagues for selecting my motion and those who desperately wanted to speak on it too - and, most of all, to my family and friends for their support.
Yesterday I made my first speech as a Councillor on a motion I wrote, calling for the Council to adopt a trauma-informed practice to better support the most vulnerable in Birmingham.
I spoke about my experience of childhood trauma and the impact it had on me. (part 1 of 2)
