Hi!
My goal is to share about the archaeological and historical context of Orthodox Christian sites throughout the world- but primarily the Levant. My hope is to provide decent summaries of the histories of those sites for the average reader.
This is merely a hobby project of mine, as I do have commitments outside of X. If you have any particular sites- be it churches, cities, tombs, monasteries, etc. That you would like me to do, please leave a note and I will try to get to it.
Please keep in mind, one simply can't be an expert on everything. (Though some of my friends may say I think I am...) But I will try my best to obtain the archaeological field and published reports, academic articles, and books to provide as references.
For the archaeologists and historians who may not like the framing of my future content- great! Discourse is what drives our fields forward. To that end I'll share my personal bias which certainly affects my interpretation of the finds! I'm an Orthodox Christian. This means I will not just dismiss out of hand the "folk memory" of the Church and Christian community. (To use the popular language of academia)
If you like the content, give me a follow. I will try to respond to everyone. Thank You! God Bless! ☦️
@CKubilayCelik@OrdinariateUSA You're retarded. The Ottomans routinely persecuted the Orthodox Church.
The Turks still do to this day. Take your taqqiya elsewhere.
@BibleInContext1 Weird, the most pagan thing I've seen about it is evangelicals and Protestants using the same language the Pagans did to persecute actual Christians. Such as calling us cannibals and practicing necromancy.
Yeah, 1/3 of your entire logistics system being built in Detroit is completely negligible.
10% of your armored force being lend lease, completely negligible.
15% of your soldiers footware being lend lease.
Whenever leftists try to pretend the Soviet Union won World War Two, they just show their ass.
@ComeYeSinners Pretending to be following the early church, yet repeating the accusations the Romans used to persecute and martyr early Christians.
Interesting strategy, my friend.
‼️🚨🇷🇺 Russia’s Central Bank releases new “rubles” depicting Saint George the Great-Martyr. ☦️
The Russian Central Bank made sure to exclude the “Halo” around the saint’s head, or any depiction of a Cross, because it may offend Muslims, Jews and Atheists.
