Today, we wore purple and green in support of our Muslim families and friends and to stand up against Islamophobia. It brought tears to my eyes hearing the children speak about the fears they live with as a Muslim in our country. We need to do better Canada!

Thank you to the @OrilliaMuseum for their wonderful art program. My grade 4s loved learning about Arthur Shilling and the history of Indigenous Peoples in our region. We loved creating art and it sparked many conversations afterwards around race, acceptance, and inclusion.

Our @WHDayES read aloud #3 was “The Name Jar”. Thank you to Mrs. Streets class for sharing why their names are so important to them. Some are named after family and some after friends. Some of us share the same middle names too!
