Herb has been a family friend for as long as I can remember, consistently putting the community first. This well-deserved recognition highlights his legacy as a true public servant. 🙌🏾❤️

Kathryn T. Niehouse was the only woman in the #CALeg for a solid decade (1943-1952) of the twelve years that she served in the State Assembly.
She would be SO proud of you and the others, @AsmSoria.
Wishing all the newly sworn members of the legislature and returning members, a fruitful end of year and great start to the 2025-26 legislative cycle. 👏🏼👏🏼 #CALeg
Today, I introduced my first bill as a State Senator: Senate Bill 3. This bill will serve as a vehicle to update the process used by county registrars to report updated election results, as well as reform the way votes are counted in CA (known as the canvass of the vote). #SD31
Honored to have been sworn in for my final two years in the California State Assembly as the representative of the residents of the 42nd Assembly District. #CALeg
I came to America with a dream.
Now, I’m one of the first Korean-American women elected to Congress. I am so grateful to have been re-elected by the people of CA-40.
I will continue to protect the American Dream and fight for my community.
I was warned about the sharp knife, but I guess I got a little too confident… Ooops! But I finished my assignment with the Dr. Gina Fromer, Glide’s President & CEO. First time carving/deboning an entire turkey—and couldn’t be more honored to do it at @GLIDEsf. Grateful and thankful on so many levels. 🙏 @MaliaCohen@LondonBreed@DannySauter@JoaquinTorresSF
I'm on the board of the non-profit Women in California Politics (@WICP100) which runs a history museum in downtown Sacramento.
Why is their work important? I cannot say it better than this chart does:
Thanks to @fox5sandiego for coverage of this planned high-rise in Pacific Beach. “This project is really an inappropriate use of the state’s housing laws.”
Of all the surprises that could have come from attending the @SenBlakespear book club, the one I would have expected least was that one of the other people would be my cousin Monica!

It can be interesting when data is used significantly differently from how you thought it might. That's why I want the folks at @Transparent_CA to know that their data is very useful at keeping my list of pre-1990 state legislators updated.
You help me answer a lot of questions.
