@Dans_Pictures@Dans_Pictures. Did you get the history of this bird that I sent you? I got an odd message back saying that my email message wasn't accepted by your server so not delivered!
Great report of a Tufted Duck from @theroyalparks. This little duck, ringed at #Serpentine#Hydepark in Dec 2023 made it all the way to the Rusian arctic circle, ca 2000km NE of Moscow. This shows just how far ducks wintering in London can migrate. #Londonbirds#birdringing#BTO
@wazzo_m@theroyalparks@ThorneyIslandSo For those of you who might be interested, this is a bird that was ringed in #StJamessPark as a juvenile in December 2024 and appears to be a Park resident. The furthest it has been so far is neighbouring Green Park!
Stoked to have controlled this #Firecrest in the 'wild' area of @LondonZoo. It had been ringed at #LanguardBirdObs in Oct '25 and is almost certainly a continental migrant. It is one of only ~6 Firecrests that have travelled >100km in the UK #Londonbirds#birdringing#BTO
#cootstudy Anyone know who has used colour-ring WN(NDV)? It was in The Regentโs Park in London today. If so can you send me the metal ring number. Thank you.
Caught and colour-ringed our last 4 #blackheadedgulls of the โ24/25 season today in @theroyalparks including this smart lady. Safe travels guys and gulls (pun intended)
With spring seemingly arriving many of @theroyalparks#Blackheadedgulls are thinking about, or already have left for their breeding grounds in continental Euope/Fennoscandia. Our #colourmarked birds have been seen this week in Southend ๐ฌ๐ง and the Issjelmeer in the Netherlands ๐ณ๐ฑ
