@RogueUnfiltered The footage in this post relates to disorder in Smethwick on 26 May. The case is under investigation and two men have now been charged. We have secured footage shared online as evidence and ask the public not to continue sharing it. https://t.co/lKr2nP2SyL
@peterclaridge1 Good evening, Peter. We received a report of someone armed with a knife in Market Street, Kingswinford, on 30 May. Officers attended and following searches no-one was found with a weapon. The call is believed to have been false and malicious.
We appreciate the concern that this incident has caused in the area, and would thank the community, particularly the schools who kept children back, for their support.
#UPDATE | We've now identified and spoken to the person.
We have also reviewed other, higher-quality imagery from the area and are satisfied that he did not have a weapon, and has not committed any offences.
#UPDATE | We have had a number of officers in the Willenhall area of Walsall this afternoon following reports of a man acting suspiciously.
As a precaution we advised schools in the area to keep children on site while the area was searched. [1/3]
@MaryECostello@PauletteHamilto@ErdingtonWMP@ErdingtonTories It's important to report these incidents to the authorities who can take action. West Midlands Police is the appropriate body to handle traffic violations and dangerous behaviour on the roads. Please consider reporting your concerns to us through our official channels.
⚠️ To celebrate Aston Villa's Europa League win, there will be a parade in Birmingham City Centre. This may cause delays across the transport network.
ℹ️ Temporary road closures will impact a number of services throughout the day.

@traceytaylor79 The proactive approach to promoting the Run Hide Tell safety advice is not in response to recent incidents or intelligence.
Run Hide Tell advice can save lives, so it’s important the messaging is shared widely and understood.
The UK's threat level has increased to “severe”. This follows a rising Islamist and Extreme Right Wing terrorist threat, and yesterday's abhorrent antisemitic terrorist attack.
People should be vigilant as they go about their daily lives, and report any concerns to the police.
Our world-leading police and security services continue to work, day and night, to keep our country safe.
