Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.
@hokkori_buzz How common is owning a Katana in Japan? Not everybody, but you know people who own one, right? And there is that one guy you know who has an old one that has been in his family a long time. In the US gun culture, that's the guy with many guns.
@omgsidewalks Passkeys are only more secure if implemented well. They fail if your phone gets scrambled. If you have a phone and a laptop you will expend more energy setting them up, but they are easier to use when they work.
It's possible to use air as the exhaust, but it takes more energy to cool that way. It takes 80kJ per kg to raise air from 20°C to 100ºC. It takes 2600kj to raise each kg of water across that temperature range and evaporate it. You can remove 32.5 times more heat with water than air. You can use air to make the no water lost claim, at the expense of moving and heating 32.5 times more mass. That's bigger pipes (much bigger as water is more dense than air) bigger pumps, ... . But just because you can it doesn't mean it's a good or profitable idea.
@Erdayastronaut That would be great, though the math on time to repressurize the COPV isn't awesome. The vibration profile of city potholes vs riding atop a SuperHeavy would be interesting. You don't want your COPV to pull a Ship 36 if somebody T-bones you.
@ClaireFosterPHD Homelessness is a choice, not a problem. You can "make" a car fly, but you cannot "make people" do stuff. You can't make the homeless choose differently. They are choosing to be what you are considering a problem, that's a you problem not a them problem.
@ryanvogel@RonDeSantis Rocket thrusters? No. It's not legal on the road anywhere. Tmaction fans and big electric motors, you can have that. Rocket motors, even driven by air, are for aircraft (likely experimental aircraft) only.
@DOGEQEEN This is a wrong-headed post but a real event. See: https://t.co/9cKGjSn9s7
The ship didn't turn around, that's the dumbest possible action - certain to kill them. Instead it put a little boat into the water to go get them.
Also, this was July 2025. This is not news.
The biggest misconception is that AI/SI is intelligent. Humans use intelligence to write language and code, AI does not. It uses patterns. Think back before the last AI winter, Deep Blue beat the chess champion and Watson beat the Jeopardy champion. Humans use intelligence to play chess and Jeopardy, but these programs don't. They use algorithms and enormous databases. That's just not the same as intelligence. This misunderstanding has been spouted by AI researchers in the past. When people figure it out, another AI Winter follows. See: https://t.co/m94kHpjY9S
@RobbieA45578 He might be a better VP. He's a domestic policy and executive expert. We need someone to run government day-to-day. The President is more a politics/speak-giving job.
How do you think "plenty to do, air conditioned, comfortable, doesn't cost anything" gets paid for? AC, comfort, buildings, and even "things to do" cost money. You aren't going to work there for nothing. Same with the electric company.
Malls died because there wasn't enough cash to pay to keep them open. Too much shopping moved to online. Just like losing ads killed newspapers.
The French need to study their own history and learn from the Umayyad invasion of Gaul in 720. They have never come to join you, but they have come in the past to take over from you. They ask for sanctuary, but they don't want to act French, dress French, or eat French. That means "Not French" to any observer.
