In our teaching this morning we had a session from Jemima, the complimentary therapy co-ordinator. She taught us how to perform a hand massage 🙌🏻
Jemima is working hard trying to set up a complimentary therapy service for our patients...watch this space 👍🏻
Thank you to Alan McCarthy who took time out of his busy day to visit our unit.We had a great discussion of how we can improve MDCU to benefit patients & staff too.
We are constantly striving to improve our performance but need a little help with the current environment 😁

A big welcome to Becci Davies who joins MDCU team as Senior Sister.
Becci has spent the last 3 years in UCLH in the bone marrow transplant unit. She will be a great asset to our team!
Thank you so much to Anne, Senior Sister of MDCU. Today is Anne’s last working day as she retires after 41 years of being a nurse.
Thank you to @wshtchiefexec for Anne’s lovely flowers and card 🎉💐

Looking forward to @OncologyForum at Brighton today
One of the best way of improving services is to collaborate, network and share ideas. We have to invest in ourselves as nurses so we can invest in our patients and provide excellent care

Today we held a joint educational update between MDCU and Balcombe Ward. As part of the update staff had a practical simulation of how to deal with a chemotherapy spill. Thanks to Jack for being our willing volunteer
