Here is a sad update from Elsa’s dad, Kevin:

We are heartbroken to share news about Elsa.
This morning, she woke up with a drooping face and seemed confused. Adrienne took her to the children’s ER, where we were told that her leukemia has spread to her brain. The doctors said there is not much more they can do other than keep her comfortable.
She received platelets today and is now back home with us, where she should be. Right now, we are focusing on loving her, keeping her comfortable, and cherishing every moment we have together. The doctors believe her time may be very short, possibly around a week.

Please keep Elsa and our family in your thoughts and prayers. We are truly thankful for all the love and support you have shown us throughout this journey.

She was convicted and sentenced to hang. The state waited until she had given birth — the baby was stillborn — and then executed her in December 1855.

Last Saturday in NSW, a 23 year old woman, a 70 year old woman and a 90 year old grandmother were all killed by men they knew.

If your first reaction as a man is to get defensive, ask yourself why.

When women talk about men, violence and misogyny, they are talking about violent men. Abusive men. Sexist men. Predatory men. Intimidating men. Men who harass women, threaten women and hurt women.

If you aren’t one of those men, why make yourself the victim of the conversation?

Men commit the overwhelming majority of serious violence. Women live with that reality every day.

So when women are angry about violence, abuse, harassment and misogyny, stop demanding they make their anger more comfortable for us.

Listen to what they are angry about.

If a woman says, “I’m sick of men hurting women”, responding with “NOT ALL MEN” achieves nothing.

Nobody accused every man.

The question for men should be: what are we doing when we see misogyny, harassment, intimidation or violence from other men?

Women cannot do this work for us.

Men need to call out other men.
