Our graphics team fell completely in love with the photos from @APHCF_info 2025! In fact, they are busy turning our favourite memories into postage stamp-like graffiti art to immortalise the moments that defined our inaugural gathering.

Those pictures capture more than just handshakes. They capture the raw energy of a community that demanded this space.

The Africa Primary Health Care Forum (APHCF) was born directly out of stakeholder demand in 2025. You asked for a dedicated, unified platform to tackle grassroots health delivery, and together, we built it. Let's write the next chapter.

The Academy of Public Health Announces Prestigious Director-General's Fellows List 2025

Abuja, Nigeria - The Academy of Public Health (The APH) ⚕️ is delighted to announce the 2025 Director-General's Fellows List, recognising 30 outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to public health in Africa and beyond. This esteemed group of professionals has demonstrated exceptional leadership, scholarship, and dedication to advancing public health.

The 2025 DG's List features a remarkable collective of individuals who are shaping the future of public health through innovative solutions, research, and community-driven initiatives. Notably, many of these fellows are making a significant impact in health technology integration, harnessing the power of digital solutions to improve health outcomes and strengthen health systems.

"We are honoured to celebrate the achievements of these exceptional individuals, who are transforming the field of public health through their work," said Dr @ohanyidof , FAPH, Director-General of @WAIPH_News . The hybrid induction ceremony and conference will be hosted on 24th November 2025 at the prestigious Yar Adua Center in Abuja, Nigeria. I am looking forward to joining the 20th Annual African Vaccinology Course (AAVC) remotely from November 3-7, 2025! This milestone edition promises to be an incredible opportunity to learn from leaders in the field, including my esteemed Fellow of @TheWaaph, Prof. Nicaise @Ndembi12, and other vaccine leaders.

The @WAIPH_News has been at the forefront of pushing for an enabling environment for vaccine programmes, through evidence-based advocacy and policy thrusts for key vaccines. It also supports landmark activities around the annual African Vaccination Week programme (#AVW). Participating in this event will further enhance our collective efforts to strengthen immunisation programmes across Africa.

Kudos to the organisers for reaching this impressive 20th edition! To say that I am looking forward to engaging with the programme's rich content, exploring topics such as immunisation systems, vaccinology essentials, and vaccine decision-making, is an understatement.
