Across #myKHSC, nurses have stepped up to answer the call in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic in many ways – from working on teams outside of their usual practice to help areas that have been hit hard, or showing extra compassion to patients separated from their families.
Here is my PSA: if it comes to mind that you should take your child to the hospital to be checked, then just do it. All too often, we have been guilty of giving the message, subtly and not-so-subtly, of "unnecessary" visits to healthcare. If you are worried, please come.
Times are tough right now and it's very easy to be overwhelmed by negativity—I am definitely guilty of this myself.
