@woooggs@JeffBohren If that's still prompting then i think the same is true for humans, if you don't run an electricity through the brain it just lies there dead
@deanwball This kind of is how traditional software works tbh. Like people just paper over bugs until all their bad decisions bring the whole project to a standstill. Seen a lot of junior devs fix error messages and not fix the software.
Theres just so many assumptions in there that have no basis.
1. Why do we assume that intelligence varies linierally with DNA base pair variations? That seems pretty unlikely. We share 70% of our dna with slugs.
2. The assumption of technological civilization as an inherent goal that if you were smart enough you would do is a conflation of behavior with an attribute. Termites build complicated structures, dogs don't, are termites smarter than dogs?
3. Using percentage as a comparison vs total amount. 1% of 3 billion is 30 million differences in a directly aligned comparison of human and chimp dna. This ignores indels so the actual difference is more like 300 million.
4. You can't make assumptions about the end of a range based on where it starts. If we were to assume we are the very bottom of the range, that doesnt supply any information about where the ranges upper extreme would be.
@Mallchad@RichardBale13@johnennis@kitsunedevs So the big breakthrough with astra is that this isn't fixed anymore. They call it a loop transformer, but it can basically recycle the same internal section multiple times in a single pass.
@jatingargiitk@theo What breaks is he implemented his react app in a way were the message is stored as state in some root element and on every token he updates that state and it redraws the entire tree. Instead of just appending the token straight to the ptag which only draws new characters.
