It cannot be right that half of drivers/vehicles operating in GM are licensed many miles away.
Baroness Casey was right to recommend the closing down of this practice.
If not tackled in this Bill, it could still be in place at the time of the next General Election.

We hope MPs will today be given a chance to vote to end out-of-area taxi/private hire licensing.👇🏻
It is undermining public safety.
Thank you to @elsieblundell for pushing for an amendment to the Devolution Bill. 🙏🏻

Survived 90 miserable minutes at Anfield, only for @TheCheapThrills to drag my mood back from the dead. Absolute lifesavers. Cracking gig from a band on the brink of something big.
No one should be going hungry in the UK.
That’s why we are proud to be launching the Right To Food UK Commission in Parliament tonight.
Our aim is to deliver a roadmap for Right To Food legislation that will end hunger. More info at: https://t.co/mxjgCghDkF

Yesterday at the #HillsboroughLaw Second Reading I thanked so many who have helped us get to this point & warned that the establishment will try to weaken this Bill.

At the Hillsborough Law debate this evening I intervened on the Prime Minister, to ask him to confirm in this House today that the law will be delivered in full and without any watering down. Watch his response here.
Today at the Second Reading of the #HillsboroughLaw, I set out why this Bill, including the vital duty of candour to ensure public officials tell the truth - matters so much to me and many others. #JFT97#HillsboroughLawNow
Today I am speaking at 2nd Reading of the #HillsboroughLaw.
This Bill must honour the 97, the families, survivors and every victim of state failure. It must not be watered down.
Anything less would be a continuation of betrayal - and we can’t let that happen.

“It is time for him to deliver that justice, and use this opportunity to build on today’s vital achievement to make Leveson 2 a reality, and ensure the media is held to account for its role in state failures and cover-ups.” https://t.co/VhF6HWNkfo
Today I attended a packed meeting in Liverpool with @unitetheunion officers and former employees of the disgraced ‘Big Help Group’.
The stories of how staff were treated by the directors were utterly appalling.
I’ll do everything I can to support them in their fight for the redundancy pay they’re owed.
Those responsible must be held accountable for what they’ve done to my constituents in some of our most deprived areas.
Next week marks the second reading of the Hillsborough Law.
A big step forward for all the families, survivors & campaigners.
I’m asking all MPs who signed my letter to the PM & the EDM calling for a true Hillsborough Law, worthy of the name, to participate & show their support.
We must ensure Parliament delivers the legislation that all victims of state cover-ups deserve.

Well done to @btrliverpool@LFCFoundation & all involved & who took part in a brilliant #RunForThe97 this morning.
A special thanks to @melharvey72 for running with me & taking the hit on her time😂
One of my favourite events of the year with some of the best people.❤️💙

Yesterday, I joined a huge lobby of Parliament, led by disabled people, against the proposed cuts to disability support.
These cuts are inhumane, cruel and unjustifiable.
We didn’t come into Parliament to balance the books on the most vulnerable & these cuts must be dropped.
If the Government refuses, I will vote against them.
A tone deaf response from Labour spokespeople.
We must listen to and heed the message voters have delivered and we must respond to it by changing the lives of working class people for the better with polices that transform the economic situation.
If we do not improve the situation that millions of working class people find themselves in after 14 yrs of austerity, we will be rolling the red carpet out to Reform at the next GE.
I urge the Labour leadership to now truly reflect and change course. If they do not, I genuinely fear the country will face the consequences of a far right government in four years’ time.
👀🏆 On this day in 1988, Peter Beardsley scored the goal that clinched the league title as Liverpool beat Tottenham 1-0 at Anfield
The Reds were 15 points ahead of Man Utd with four games left ✊🔴
Something similar on Sunday? 😎
Truly devastating news.
A huge & heartbreaking loss to the Catholic Church and the entire world.
His legacy will be long lasting and historic.
One of the proudest moments in my life was meeting this great man and giving him our #RightToFood badge.
