New route -> level 24 Pokémon. The fact the area atop the waterfall is the best grinding spot pre elite 4 doesn’t matter if the bar is on the floor.

@GroundBack01 @sparite I’ve never felt the need to grind in either of those games, because the difficulty curves in a way beyond just bumping levels. Even if you have to, grinding is trivial with Audino (you get a tutorial) and the infinitely rebattleable breeders in bw2

It’s a game about collecting cool new creatures, and adding this barrier to use them disincentivises it. Especially when ice types are so late game, but so good for lance

@GroundBack01 @sparite The issue arises for Clair when you catch a level 22 swinub in ice path, or a skarmory? Or even a level 16 voltorb in rocket hideout. Surely you can acknowledge that it’s insane for wild Pokémon to scale so far behind where the player should be level wise

I’m aware that you can beat every npc under leveled, but it’s not fun catching a Pokémon past jasmine and having to spend at least an hour getting it from level 20 to being par with the rest of your team

@RoyBattyRabbit @ItsR0DR1 Everyone beat this game when they were 8, having a shit level curve ≠ it’s super difficult or anything. it’s just not fun going back as an adult when you catch a new team member and have to spend an hour grinding it to your teams level, especially on slow ass gen 4 cartridge.

@ottservia Also it’s not really excusable no matter how you slice it that if you want to use anything new past Jasmine you’ll be most likely grinding for at least 10 levels to make them usable on wild level 16 Pokémon
