At the same time reducing the chances of two little girls & their father from being hit by a car on their way to school. Those of us in leadership must have foresight. We then combine that foresight with data, to make the best informed decision possible. #WeAreWard8

It's unfortunate that some people treat traffic safety as an issue of gentrification & displacement. It's actually an issue of leadership, strong infrastructure & health. We implement traffic calming measurers ahead of time to increase the chances of our residents being safe.
