It’s your choice what you want to do on this app. You can be a slave to the algorithm and over optimize, or you can bool with cool internet friends.
I chose the latter.
It's scary to be completely honest with yourself and express that authenticity in art, let alone share it with the world.
Yet, this is the artist's job, even for many who are introverts like myself. That's why I believe that making and sharing art is a miracle in itself.

I don't have a horse in this race one way or the other. Just speaking about pfp collections in general (degods, azuki, pudgy Ps, etc) this was kind of the ideal time to do a big drop from a project perspective. Just got a busload of ETH while the market is down to (hopefully) invest back into the project when the market returns and ETH appreciates in price. Yuga has already expanded into gaming. Smaller projects like @shibuyaxyz are going the production/interactive route. One thing is for certain, this shit is EXPENSIVE. If azuki was to grow the project into a truly impressive anime/cartoon... they now have the capital to execute those big production costs. Or do what all the other co-founders do and buy a g-wagon and fuck off to LA, Dubai, or Miami.
Lot of FUD about @Azuki not delivering the collection everyone was looking forward to. That is, something that was completely 'different'.
Yes, the collection (especially the floors) are similar to the OG. BUT in almost everywhere, this is a better collection. And when you look at the rares and grails there are some fantastic pieces.
Azuki just needs to clarify what they will be doing with Elementals and how they are going to build their brand around this more expansive collection.
I'm having a LOT of fun browsing the collection and trying to find beautiful gems. Brings back the old reveal days that I loved so much last year.
Neutral/Bear-case. They "only" go to 50% of all time high because the network effect of NFTs will dillute into new ip that is run with a higher level of engagement and polish. NFT communities last cycle largely flocked due to speculative wagmi thoughts of price always goes up. I'm fairly certain Bored Ape will definitely never hit an all time high again. Still too early to tell what the next cycle trend will be. All humble opinions.
Bull case for Punks & Squiggles:
1⃣ As new (high end) money enters NFTs, it will flow to established sets with the least execution risk
2⃣ Remarkably few crypto-rich people own these collections & really believe they matter... they will capitulate & buy higher, for the culture
