@WCrawshaw17872@donmcgowan So you've moved from proud of homelessness to don't see it as a problem. Those are very different claims. Most people would agree homelessness is a problem. The disagreement is over causes, solutions and trade offs, not whether sleeping rough is desirable.
@neil45106205@prodnose Tony Butler was doing it from the mid 70s in Birmingham, as referenced by a couple of Jasper Carrot sketches. https://t.co/ARMKZrL52G
@WCrawshaw17872@donmcgowan Yes. In general, one homeless person is too many, although a small number actively choose that lifestyle. That wasn't the claim being disputed. The claim was that Bristolians are somehow proud of homelessness. Acknowledging a problem doesn't make that accusation true.
@WCrawshaw17872@donmcgowan Speaking as a Bristolian of 50 years, objecting to the claim that Bristolians are somehow proud of the number of homeless isn't proving him right it's rejecting the ridiculous.
@IanTrem@goodison2@prodnose 606 was a great show and ahead of its time. But "All modern football shows can be put down to me" is exactly the sort of magnificent overstatement I'd expect from Danny Baker.
@John_W_Frum@SCFCJosh96 Absolutely, England currently has 12 stadiums above 40,000, 6 above 60,000, and 1 above 80,000, more than enough for a World Cup under existing requirements. If they went for a UK bid, there would be 16 stadiums (discounting non football stadiums)
