🎊Big problems require bold ideas and even greater collaboration. 🎉
We were privileged to host and partner with 15 Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and Women's Rights Organizations (WROs) from Nairobi, Mombasa, Kilifi, Nyeri, and Meru Counties to strengthen our collective efforts in responding to and preventing gender-based violence at the community level.
Ambitious? Yes. But not impossible.
In the next three years, we will work with young women (18-35 years) who are survivors and at risk of gender-based violence in these five counties. Collectively, we aim to restore dignity by providing legal and counseling services, and enhancing access to affordable financial services, products, and skilling opportunities.
This transformative initiative is made possible in partnership with the @MastercardFdn
🚨A historic win for #women & girls across Africa!
The AU Assembly has just adopted the #AUEVAWGConvention at its 38th Ordinary Session, a groundbreaking continental instrument to tackle #VAWG. A major step towards ending violence against women & girls!
#GenderEquality
CREAW conducted a monitoring, evaluation and documentation visit of @AfyAfrika and @matasaruntoyie in Narok County under the Pissca Decid’Her program.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening the capacity of organisations to address gender based violence (GBV) and sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR).
In the visit we were able to engage with the organisations, review their activities and impact as well as share learnings from the program.
The program speaks to our belief in the power of collaboration with youth-led women rights organizations by strengthening their capacity in advancing, promoting and amplifying gender equality in their communities. The Piscca Decid’Her program has been made possible through the support of the @FranceinKenya and @Hewlett_Found

With funding and support from the @danskrodekors, the @KenyaRedCross is implementing a project aimed at mitigating the effects of the MAM rains, which caused significant livelihood and health challenges.
As a recovery measure, @KenyaRedCross, in partnership with @047County, is conducting integrated outreaches to address non-communicable diseases (NCDs), mental health and psychosocial support, nutrition counselling, WASH, and vector control challenges.
These efforts target displaced populations and residents of informal urban settlements in Mathare, Ruaraka, Kamukunji, and Mukuru.
To contribute towards #SDG goal number 2, U-Tena is running urban farming project at Lunga Lunga Health Centre #Mukuru Kenya, where mixed cropping is done. This is aimed at improving community nutrition, through the provision of various crops and vegetables. #GenZ doing wonders.

Exciting news from our @USAID Tumikia Mtoto Project 🤩
We recently had the honor of hosting a Congress Delegation (CODEL) at our Determined Resilient Empowered AIDS-free Mentored Safe (DREAMS) site in Harambee Ward, Nairobi, where they immersed themselves in our mission to empower youth and combat HIV/AIDS.
The CODEL team actively engaged with our program beneficiaries, gaining profound insights into the Tumikia Mtoto Project. They witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of our collaborative efforts during their visit to the exhibition area where project beneficiaries showcased their merchandise and skills learned in the project.
