@RaeRubyRaeK@Heccles94 I marched against the National Front in the late 70s. Now I'm a Reform voter. My politics haven't changed. I am still on the left, but the left nowadays has moved so far left, it has gone to the end, reached round the corner and become fascist!
@RichardRs400@GailWelshie@Heccles94 You mean the only democracy in the Middle East? The state with the best gay rights i.e. they don't kill them? The one that holds elections where Arabs have been elected?
@greentony67@ZackPolanski@Keir_Starmer But ordinary working-class people don't support the Greens.
They don't want more mass immigration bankrupting the country, they don't want men in women's spaces, they don't want to support terrorist regimes that plot to kill them, and they don't want hard drugs legalised etc.
@donmcgowan Only those who claim Spanish taxpayer benefits in Spain. So that's just long-term residents who have already contributed through taxes, most of whom can presumably speak enough Spanish to get by.
@JohnSpence33693@ThePosieParker No it's not. But only one MP has ever raised 1st cousin marriage in parliament to my knowledge. And the vacancy is in Bradford! Make of that what you will.
@Llyawyr@daisydyl244@Photo51Genomics@Mr_Andrew_Fox@StephiKing1 I haven't seen video of excessive force used by protesters. I'm not saying it didn't happen & even if it did, that wouldn't excuse some of the police behaviour after that.
However, I am fascinated that some of those on the left are supporting the police on this issue.
