I AM
I am the quiet before the storm,
the breath the earth holds when the sky prepares to break.
I am the dawn before the sun rises,
the golden promise that exists before the first light wakes.
I am the dark of night where no light prevails,
where shadows have no shape and silence tells its tales.
I am the depth beneath the water,
where daylight dies and the ancient darkness reigns.
I am the space between thunder and rain,
the pause between departure and return,
the unseen hand beneath the surface,
the fire that waits beneath what appears still.
I am not the absence of light.
I am the place where light has yet to arrive.
I am the silence before the world speaks,
the darkness before creation remembers its name.
I am the unknown.
I am the beginning.
I am the deep.
I am.
My job takes me to different place, scouting location for films. Yesterday I travelled to Liverpool for the first time with the plan to visit Everton/Liverpool stadium. But in the end, I found myself at the Beatles memorial instead. Not quite what I planned but something the unexpected stops make the best memories.
Africa doesn't simply need more jobs. It needs more productive enterprises.
The African Development Bank has explicitly pushed policymakers to focus on value-creating enterprises rather than simply counting jobs.
That distinction matters.
One productive factory can create jobs, suppliers, logistics businesses, technical skills and export opportunities around it.
Are we measuring employment or measuring economic capacity?

Nigerians are already spending billions on the digital economy.
Internet data consumption reached 8.52 million TB in the first half of 2026, with its estimated economic value put at ₦3.67 trillion.
That is an enormous market.
But much of the value still flows through foreign platforms, imported devices and external technology infrastructure.
When will Nigeria move from being a massive digital consumer to becoming a massive digital producer?

A country cannot import its way into industrialisation.
You can build massive shopping centres. Expand ports. Increase trade. Open markets.
But if the majority of what people buy is produced somewhere else, you are mainly expanding consumption.
Africa's industrialisation still faces infrastructure gaps, limited value addition, shallow capital markets and skills shortages.
When will “Made in Nigeria” become more than a slogan?
Instead of choosing lagoslife…
One day I’ll randomly relocate to another country and refuse to tell anybody. If you find me, congratulations.
Flames Of Love
Marry a man who doesn’t need you. (Read that again.)
Marry a man whose life runs smoothly even in your absence. He doesn’t call or text every minute for help with the kids.
His life doesn’t fall apart without you. He just loves having you in it.
