Sadly it will look like special treatment for a perceived 'privileged' few. But that's not the point. All businesses that went to great lengths to be 'secure' should never have had to close again. Punish those who openly ignore guidance/rules, not those trying their best to cope.

Brollies at the ready this weekend! The heatwave is over and it's a blustery, cool and at times rather wet picture. Some dry spells, but it will be luck of the draw who gets what weatherwise. Possible thunder in the heavy showers, so as per current fashion - 'stay alert'! 🌩️🌦️⛳

A couple of hot days and a thunderstorm. Then fresher and windy with rain or showers. Just an ordinary British summer playing out over the next few days. Into the upper 20s around the Peak District next few days. Locally might get a 30C in favoured valleys, esp west of Pennines.

Big contrasts continue this afternoon between a slow-moving front bringing rain to Scotland and Ireland, and extensive blues skies and very warm temperatures across central & southern England & Wales. Topping out around 28C today around London. Hotter tomorrow.

After a thundery week, things are stabilising in the atmosphere currently, and will bring a generally dry Saturday with just local squibs of showers. Rain then moves through overnight into Sunday. Next week generally drier and warming up too. 😎🌤️⛳ @CavGC @official_PPG
