This morning a major news headline warned that βrogueβ AI agents were hacking into banks.
Sounds bad, so I did some digging.
It turns out, many of these AI agents were tasked to help optimize returns for consumers, which McKinsey estimated will cost banks 20% of their revenue.
π¨ SOMETHING VERY STRANGE IS HAPPENING TO THE INTERNET RIGHT NOW.
An AI discovers a catastrophic vulnerability buried in the infrastructure powering roughly 70% of the worldβs websites. A vulnerability that apparently survived for more than a decade.
Suddenly, the NSA issues an extraordinary warning. Governments across Europe begin taking websites offline. Japanβs Prime Minister sounds the alarm. OpenAI, Google and some of the worldβs largest cybersecurity companies coordinate an emergency response.
All because AI supposedly discovered something nobody could exploit at scale before?
Now hereβs where things get interesting.
What if intelligence agencies already knew about these vulnerabilities? What if classified systems had been quietly exploiting weaknesses that commercial AI is only now beginning to uncover?
Think about that. If publicly available AI can uncover vulnerabilities of this magnitude today, what capabilities have existed behind closed doors for the last decade?
And hereβs an even more uncomfortable possibility.
What if this crisis becomes the perfect justification for an entirely new internet architecture? Mandatory AI surveillance, government-controlled cybersecurity infrastructure, centralized digital identity and emergency powers to disconnect entire networks.
The Deep State wouldnβt even need to manufacture a cyberattack. A genuine vulnerability and the publicβs fear of exploitation could accomplish far more.
Perhaps the real story isnβt that AI discovered a hole in the internet.
Perhaps itβs that AI has started exposing holes that certain people would have preferred remained undiscovered.
And the most terrifying question of all?
WHO HAD THE KEYS BEFORE AI FOUND THE DOOR?
THE INTERNET IS GOING INTO LOCKDOWN
Two critical flaws in PHP, the code behind about 70% of websites.
Hacking attempts went from thousands to MILLIONS in hours (Cloudflare CEO).
Government portals, hospitals and banks are pulling their sites offline.
And itβs not the only attack this week:
β Capcom: 11.7M emails exposed
β SBI: customer records on the dark web
β 400+ Latin American banks hit by AI agents

A casino got hacked through a fish tank.
It has sensors. automated feeding, temperature control, remote monitoring.
connected to the internet. isolated on its own VPN. segregated from everything else.
Hackers still found it anyway, compromised it, pivoted to the main network.
started pulling data.
nobody monitors fish tank outbound traffic, why would they it's a fish tank.
Darktrace caught it, anomalous transfers to an external destination nobody in the building had ever talked to.
the casino had done everything right. separate network. isolated device. proper segmentation.
Still didn't matter.
The fish tank was still online, still running software, still had an attack surface.
Every device you connect is a door you didn't know you opened.
They are all in on it.
Mexican president Claudia Sheinbaum announced that ALL gas stations and tolls in the country will only accept digital payments. No cash is allowed anymore. Mexico is also moving towards a digital ID.
π¨ Ledger Wallet zero-day exploit advertised for $2,000, claims to steal wallet recovery information
An actor known as "work159" is advertising what they claim is a zero-day exploit targeting the Ledger Wallet desktop application on Windows and macOS.
β
The seller claims the exploit can display a fake wallet recovery process directly inside the legitimate application, rather than redirecting victims to an external phishing website.
β
According to the listing, the attack requires just one click, with no further user interaction needed.
β
The advertised capabilities include:
β’ Custom phishing overlays displayed inside Ledger Wallet
β’ Fake wallet recovery screens
β’ Support for Windows and macOS
β’ Exfiltration of private keys to a Telegram bot
β’ Integration into existing Ledger Wallet interface pages
β
The seller also claims to provide unobfuscated source code and customizable templates. The asking price has been reduced from $7,500 to $2,000.
β
No working demonstration or technical evidence confirming the claimed zero-day vulnerability was included in the visible listing.
β
The exploit's existence and capabilities remain unverified.

Google DeepMind dropped four AI agents into a Minecraft server and walked away.
No instructions. No assigned roles.
They gave them one single objective: defeat the ender dragon.
and damn..
The agents, running on the new Gemini 4 Argon model, didn't just play the game.
They hacked their way through it.
They used an open-source library to control their avatars. They started talking to each other in the game chat. They built a shared memory system.
Then, they started writing code.
To survive, gather resources, and build tools, the agents autonomously planned, wrote, and debugged 2,783 unique programs.
Nobody told them how to work together.
But they organically figured out how to divide the labor. They shared discoveries in real time. When one agent died, the others coordinated a rescue mission to recover its dropped loot.
They died 605 times.
But 27 hours and 14 minutes later, the Ender Dragon fell.
The researchers watched the entire run on a live dashboard. They had the ability to pause or intervene.
They never had to.
The breakthrough here has absolutely nothing to do with video games.
It is a terrifying proof of concept for autonomous AI micro-societies.
We just watched a swarm of agents enter an open, complex environment, organize themselves into a team, and write thousands of lines of code to execute a massive, long-horizon project.
Without a single human manager.
Everyone is arguing about whether AI can replace a junior developer.
DeepMind just proved that AI can replace the entire engineering team.
Today, they are beating Minecraft.
Tomorrow, they are building your entire software backend while you sleep.
